Details
When I select a folder in the folder tree and open the mouse context menu to
create a new subfolder, the selected part of the tree collapses - but there is
no functional error.

Marcus Schank, you didn't post which build of Mozilla you were using when you
encountered this bug. Are you still having a problem? Have you tried using a
more recent build of Mozilla?
I am not seeing your symptom, Win2000, 1.3 Final.
