Details

From https://webcompat.com/issues/32836

The original issue is happening on this page (it requires signing up):
https://www.linkedin.com/learning/cissp-cert-prep-8-software-development-security-2

I found the source page of the video, which is on lynda.com.

Steps to reproduce:

On Firefox Nightly for Android visit the following page

https://files3.lynda.com/secure/courses/653242/VBR_MP4h264_main_SD/653242_03_02_MM30_Code_Repositories_557997.mp4?QpFNKC_HJ6FpWv4DinxWxabuxRiXBXNKy1CptI3nERF2NDjYnCM41iZO-eIISQPX-VndFRn9TP86dGmRWcNlbEjqkbNgy5AP9Dbg2NXmuOPBEcHt1H6fgO7S1Ekx78HXlu6TZkaMxsi1IFAhWgTap12RfjYFlNba0PH2eIpWukfVy4jYDLO277UdXxEv9AqOieDM5inmOw

Expected behavior:
Video player is showing and it's possible to play.

Actual behavior:
Getting the following message: video can't be played because the file is corrupt.

Getting these messages in the console:

Media resource https://files3.lynda.com/secure/courses/653242/VBR_MP4h264_m…2SC5JOo7m8rUzI7cckkBApzmKdoR4bR3jgO5rIeDnFaDe2_W2FCj_eePp5lQ could not be decoded. welcome

Details: error creating Audio decoder welcome

This is also reproducible on Firefox Release

It would be good if we could get a hold of a small amount of the media to test this. I'll see if I can reach out so we can get some test media that isn't walled off.

Ksenia, is this still an issue?

Flags: needinfo?(kberezina)

Looks like the file on lynda.com is not accessible anymore. But the original issue is no longer reproducible, I'm able to play videos in the course.
