Details

Some sites (e.g. adp.com) use a different subdomain for password change forms compared to login forms. There are some situations where we should offer to change the password from the different subdomain rather than ask to save it as a new password since when the user goes back to the login domain they will get their old matching-subdomain password autofilled or preferred in autocomplete.

  • If the user autocompleted their old password then in the form then we already record its GUID as being filled so could suggest updating it. We would need a way to Save as New in the doorhanger instead though.
