Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:67.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/67.0

Steps to reproduce:

Ver=60.7.0
I have a large number (~200) of feeds and associated folders in use. A right click on a feed with unread items allows it to become read via "mark folder read". It used to be the case that multiple consecutive folders could be marked read at the same time, The process was: click on unread feed at top of list; shift-click on unread folder at bottom of list; right click and select "mark folder read". All folders/feeds between top and bottom get marked read. This worked regardless of what lay between the top and the bottom: any mixture of read and unread feeds.

Actual results:

This worked until about a month ago (sorry version not known).
Now the "mark folder read" action has variable results: some folders get marked read, but not all, and it seems to stall as it works down from the top of the list than towards the end.

Expected results:

All unread folders between top and end of the selection should have become marked as read.

Update: possibly not a genuine bug, maybe caused by local system ... am continuing to investigate ... two possibilities being investigated:

  1. caused by corrupted feeds/folders
  2. caused by trying to perform the 'mark all read' operation while Thurderbird is refreshing the feeds

more soon ....

Yes, confirmed, 'user error' / system error ... so closing this one
