Steps to reproduce:

Hello,

when trying to update or install FF 67.0.3 on macOS 10.15 beta 2, it fails.

Actual results:

I get the following error message:
“Firefox Software Update” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store and identified developers.
Q_DETAIL_DOWNLOAD_AGENT_DATE.Q_DETAIL_TYPE_FILE

Expected results:

Installation should have worked :-))

Component: Untriaged → Application Update
Product: Firefox → Toolkit

This has to do with signing and not app update.

Component: Application Update → Release Automation: Signing
Product: Toolkit → Release Engineering
QA Contact: aki
Version: 67 Branch → unspecified

Haik, heads up in case there is already a bug for this

I suspect this is caused by the same issue as bug 1556733. With bug 1556733, after updating to 10.15 Beta 2, the error message on Marcia's system now matches what is reported here. Given that, although this is a code signing error message, I think we should track this as a duplicate of bug 1556733.

Sounds good
