Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:60.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/60.0

Steps to reproduce:

This happens on some websites, where you have to type in username in a first field, then the password in a second, e.g. https://elan.dfg.de

After typing/selecting the username, I jump to the password field by using tab.

Actual results:

Quite often when I start to type the password, the focus changes back on the username field, where the rest of the password then appears behind the username.

Happens on several Debian stable desktop machines (also for websites beyond the one mentioned above), but I have also noticed it on Firefox Klar for Android.

Expected results:

While typing, the focus should stay in the text field for the password.

The site might be doing this via its JS but at first glance I don't see any such event handling stuff on elan.dfg.de (and I can't reproduce on that site).

Can you record a screencast or find a site where it happens every time?
Finally, do you have any addons that could potentially be affecting password entry?
