Just as CDATA nodes are blue, I think PIs should use red text or something to
that effect, to denote that they are not 'normal' nodes.

This patch will make PIs display as gray in the inspector.
I also changed hardcoded CSS colors to use words when possible (e.g., #000000
becomes 'black') in the skin files.
