Last month, we were able to use Mozilla to get to the Ingram Micro web
site to do pricing, and order product. As of the 1st of July, they have changed
their site, and now Mozilla doesn't work.
You can't get past the login prompt, just keeps saying login failure. No doubt
some Javascript stupidity, this site is LOADED with javascript.
Last week, it at least would work with Netscape, this week, it now doesn't even
work with Netscape!
I believe that the software they are using here in Australia, is the same they
use worldwide, so this would be a world wide issue.
Apon contacting Ingram, I got back the usual "We only support MSIE" diatribe.
We have to now find another distributer to get certain products, as this is a
dead end for us, we are not a Windows shop, so we cannot run MSIE. We have told
them that we will be sourcing our product from other distributers who work fine
with our browser (Like Techpac and others).
Oh, also, you don't have Australia, or Asia Pacific listed in your Tech
Evangilism "Components".. so I coulnd't select it.

Some more findings..
The site is in JSP..
They have this one JSP that is used as a JavaScript include
that does some agent sniffing, and turns on a whole pile of flags..
one being "IsNS6=...".
When we login with Mozilla, this of course is set to NO..
I bongled with Mozilla to send a fake Agent as a Netscape 6 browser
and IsNS6=YES.. And suddenly, I can login fine...

Yes, it still is a problem. I still have to fool the site into thinking im
running IE or Netscape 6, otherwise it won't let me login. It affects both
Mozilla and Firefox.
The only consolation with FireFox is there is a nice plugin that allows me to
quickly switch Agents.

I user the Ingram website & have never had a problem logging in. Their
passwords are case sensitive.

Bug 140943 has contact addresses, and a fix on the canadian site would likely
mean a fix for the site overall.
Depends on: 140943
