Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.13; rv:67.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/67.0

Steps to reproduce:

Saved a long password on a website with a (shorter) master password

Actual results:

The password was not remembered correctly; I have to retype it each time, and each time FF asks me if I want to update the pw (which I do obviously)

Expected results:

FF should remember my pw

The pw in question was 22 char long

Hi Maurice, please add the web site that you are using for this or a test page, to try to reproduce the issue. Do you have the same problem if you are using a different web page? I want to know if this is a site compatibility or not. Thanks
Also, it will be a good idea to try to reproduce it on the Nightly build. Please download Firefox Nightly from here: https://nightly.mozilla.org/ and retest the problem.

Component: Untriaged → Password Manager

Product: Firefox → Toolkit

The website is:

https://www.marktplaats.nl/

I have not tried another website. I am not able to try the nightly build at this moment.

I tested it on Mac OS X 10.14 with FF Nightly 70.0a1 (2019-07-08) and I can't reproduce it.

The password was not remembered correctly; I have to retype it each time, and each time FF asks me if I want to update the pw (which I do obviously)

What is incorrect about it?

The problem has disappeared with the new version of FF, 68.0.

Where can I mark this bug as 'Solved'?
