Details
From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530 BuildID: 2002053012 In Windows XP setting Mozilla as default browser (through Preferences -> Advanced -> System) as Admin will set it the default browser for every user and normal (limited) users cannot change this setting. In other words, it is a global setting that only admin can change. I think this should be an individual option to each user, limited or admin. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log in as admin 2. Go to Preferences -> Advanced -> System, check all boxes, click ok. 3. Log in as limited user. Go to Preferences -> Advanced -> System deselect all boxes, click ok. Actual Results: Looking back at Preferences -> Advanced -> System as the limited user, all boxes are still checked Expected Results: Unchecked all boxes

This sounds like an issue with how WinXP handles default file handlers, not Mozilla per se.
