Actual results:
Firefox don't respect Mac - Audio routing in multichannel audio Cards. I'm using UAD Twin mk2 - Card. Safari sends audio to respctive 5i6 channels but Firefox sends audio to main outs - didn't respecting OsX settings - Chrome works well too.

Hi pabloscotty,
It seems we don't have the specific audio devices to test this, but could you provide us with additional steps to try and reproduce the issue on our end and more information about the devices needed?
Please also let us know your results by doing the following:
-
Test if you can reproduce it on the latest Nightly version. You can download Firefox Nightly from here: https://nightly.mozilla.org/.
-
Create a new profile, you have the steps here:https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager
-
Test if the issue is reproducible in safe mode, here is a link that can help you: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
In the mean time I'll add a product and component so the devs can take a look at this.
Thanks for your contribution.

I can confirm this behavior using a MOTU 828mk3. If I change "Default Stereo Output" to "Analog 5-6", Safari sound (as well as system sound) goes to the expected output channels on the 828, but Firefox sound stays on the "Main Out 1-2" channels.
Paul, any thoughts here?

Yes, I have a plan for this, in bug 1567949.
It requires implementing channelCount
on the AudioDestinationNode
, that we need to do anyways.

I suspect this bug was fixed in #1552928 with FF 74.
Reporter, do you still see the issue?
Thanks for confirming that. I'll resolve this.
