In trying to save a bookmark you can't tell if control-d workred or not. You
have to go up to Bookmarks and open the bookmarks to see if the keystrokes took
affect. same thing happens when you go directly to Bookmarks and choose "add to
Bookmarks"  selection.
In IE you get the mouse pointer to change to the hourglass for a second or two.
