Some steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a new private window
  2. Log into getpocket.com
  3. Open a savable article
  4. Click the save to pocket button in the address bar.

So a few things may happen.
The expected this is it saves the article.

What actually happens depends.
If you are logged into pocket in another window that's not private, it may save it properly.
If you are not logged into pocket in another window, it'll ask you to log in
If you try to log in, it may open a new tab in the not private window to log in.
If you don't have a not private window open, it'll open a new private tab in a new new private window.
If you try to log in again in this new new private tab, it'll still not allow you to save the article.
