Updates:

  • I can't reproduce the issue using Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite (Android 9);
  • I can't reproduce anymore the issue using Samsung Galaxy S8 (Android 9) on Beta 68.1b3. Additionally, I can't reproduce the problem with Nightly 70.0a1 (2019-07-26);

Since the status are different for nightly and release, what's the status for beta?
For more information, please visit auto_nag documentation.

Note: Not reproducible on Beta 69.0b8.
Device: Samsung Galaxy S8 (Android 9);

Can be reproduced on Samsung Galaxy S7 (Android 8), on FF 68.1

Same problem on FF 68.1, on Android 8.1, Moto G5.

Hi, I can reproduce the issue with Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 8.0.0) on Firefox Release 68.1.1, Firefox Beta 68.2b3 and Firefox Nightly 68.2a1(2019-09-23).
Issue does not reproduce on Firefox Preview/ Fenix version 1.4.1 (Build #12531634)

Asking webcompat for advice on this bug.

Hi there -- this is a regression that we're addressing via the webcompat system addon. Hopefully we can ship via Balrog tomorrow, just need one more round of QA verification: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1583285

Wonderful! We will keep the bug open until the fix ships.

Version 6.1.0 of the webcompat system addon just shipped, and I can confirm that the bug no longer reproduces after getting the update (you can check about:support -- the last version was 6.0.3).

I was able to reproduce this issue on Firefox Preview Nightly (GV 71) build #12830612 with Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 (Android 5.1). Due to the fact that add-ons are not supported yet on Fenix, is there a plan to fix this sooner?

Still using firefox 68 (68.1.1) and cannot reproduce anymore.

Hi, tested the issue and did not reproduce on Firefox Release 68.2.0, Firefox Beta 683b3 and Firefox Nightly 68.3a1 (2019-11-04) with One Plus 6T(Android 9.0), Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 8.0.0) and Sony Xperia Z5 (Android 7.0).

Note:
On Fenix/Firefox Preview 2.3.0 (Build #13031728) with Gecko View 70.0-20191014032640 and Firefox Nightly 191106 (Build #13100630) with Gecko View 72.0a1-20191103094618 I can reproduce the issue with the same devices as for Fennec ESR.
Do you know how to proceed with this based on Comment12?

Firefox Preview Nightly has a known timing issue with the webcompat system addon, but we're working on it. I think we're good here. Thanks!
