Steps to reproduce:
I tried to click on mail-to link on the website. Website is not a specific, you can find this bug on any mail-to link.
Actual results:
After click, Instead of opening email client on my system, Firefox is opening new tabs and keeps on opening 1000s of times. I tried to end the process from Task Manager but no luck. I restarted my PC.
Expected results:
Mail-to link should open Email client in my system which is by default setting on any browser.

What is your default mail client in Windows?
Enter about:preferences into the address bar. What is the action defined for mailto?
My mistake, no client was assigned. Thanks for the help. But still indefinite tab opening is a bug I think. ;)
