  • W10 Pro x_64 v1903 b18362.267 / locale en-GB
  • FX 70.0a1 (2019-07-31) (64-bit) / locale en-GB

The displayed language seems incomprehensible, even with an online translation tool

The issue is not exhibited with 69.0b8 (64-bit).

prefernce settings and installed add-ons are identical 70.0a1 <> 69.0b8

That's a language, Kaqchikel to be precise. The question is why you're getting the wrong locale.

Not sure Bugzilla is the right place, but leaving it here for now, in case owners can move it to GitHub.

If you open about:support, can you copy and paste the content of the last table in the page (Internationalization settings)?

Argh, I forgot accept-languages is not in that table.

What's your Accept Language (1st row of the table) if you visit this page?
http://www.reliply.org/tools/requestheaders.php

I tried setting en-GB on mine, and I get English as expected.

Accept Language *

tested also with a maiden profile when the issue is not exhibited.

Using the Accept-Language per site (different setting than the Beta apparently...)

Having added en-gb for the monitor domain the content then displays the correct language. However why Kaqchikel is being displayed for * is a bit of a mystery...

I think Kaqchikel is the first locale code (cak) that we have enabled in production.

Thanks for the feedback/input. And chapeau for recognising the language on the spot :). I even to look it up
