(Reporter: jeffreylam221, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0

Steps to reproduce:

Scenario 1:
play any facebook live video for 1 minute
Scenario 2:
play any twitch video for 1 second for the first time

Actual results:

Scenario 1:
The video will freeze and never play again. Sound will still proceed normally.
Scenario 2:
The video will freeze and never play again. Sound will still proceed normally.
After refreshing the video, it will not happen again

Expected results:

The video will not freeze

This bug is pretty annoying. It forces me to use Chrome to watch the video

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

Component: Untriaged → Audio/Video: Playback
Product: Firefox → Core

I typed the wrong actual result for Scenario 2. It should be:
Scenario 2:
The video will freeze and never play again. Sound will still proceed normally.
After dragging the video time back to the start, the video will not freeze again. It will play smoothly

This bug has happen to me for few months

This sounds a lot like what is explained in bug 1559521 comment 9.

I wasn't able to reproduce on linux, suspecting it's Windows specific, so that matches too.
