Bug 1409449 - Do not show auth-dialog for triggeringPrincipal==SystemPrincipal tightened security. For remote images in mails and caldav access which need authorization two prefs must be set to show the prompt dialog. Otherwise image access and caldav sync always fails.

Do we want to expose this in the prefs dialog so that non caldav users can decide if they want the enhanced security?

User impact if declined: No caldav prompt and some remote images might not show.
Testing completed (on m-c, etc.): 2.53
Risk to taking this patch (and alternatives if risky): only prefs.
