The user should be able to set time frame for the custom view
(3 months, 2 years, 7 weeks, etc...).

He/she should be able to define multible custom views..
I think this falls partially under the "Show a work week view which shows a user
specified amount of days (some people work Mon - Fri, others work Tue - Sat)."
requirement for views.  But, for the most part, this is an enhancement by adding
a whole new view.  For that reason, I am making this an enhancement.

The best I can think of to accomodate this, would be a RDF overlay entry to
allow extensions to add to the list and use their own code for view support,
can't think of any "easy" way for a user to make custom views.

This bug is quite old, I think its no longer valid. I believe we support view type extensions and showing a variable number of weeks in the multiweek view.
