Steps to reproduce:

followed procedure to export favorites then import to another pc, It did not work

Actual results:

the html file imported, maybe, but no bookmarks

Expected results:

my 2nd pc should have received all my bookmarks

Hi,
I tried to reproduce this bug on my machines( Win 7) with Firefox Release 54 and 68, following the below steps:

1. Open Firefox and go to the hambuger menu > Library > Bookmarks > Show all bookmarks
2. Click on Import and Backup
3. Select Export Bookmarks to HMTL > name the file and Save
4. Go to the second machine and open Firefox
5. Go to the hambuger menu > Library > Bookmarks > Show all bookmarks
6. Click on Import and Backup
7. Select Import Bookmarks from HMTL > select the file saved above

The imported bookmarks from HTML are displayed(please see screenshot attached):
Go to the hambuger menu > Library > Bookmarks > Show all bookmarks > Expand Bookmarks Toolbar > Select Other Bookmarks > All imported Bookmarks from HTML are displayed here.

Can you please try with the latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8)?

Due to the lack of response I will close this bug. Please feel free to reopen it if you managed to reproduce it again with steps from comment 2 and the latest Nightly build.
