From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.1a+) Gecko/20020708 BuildID: 2002070813 As far as I can tell this is something separate from the most common ALEPH bug 124185, but I'm not really sure. I can use the system for doing searches, BUT I cannot use the links once a search result appears. This is very strange because it only affects the part of the page where the book is displayed. Everything else works fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enter your search term in the search field ("Wortsuche") 2. Select the book you're looking for, if there are several results, by clicking the number on the left. Note that until here everything works fine. 3. Once the book is displayed click on any link (Autor, Titel, etc.). Actual Results: Nothing happens. Expected Results: Moz should load the link. Note that the navigation bar is working all the time. I don't know if this is a problem of Moz or whether it is the specific installation of ALPEH.
it appears to open a new window when you click on such a link. do you have "open unrequested windows" disabled? this appears to be an instance where Mozilla mis-detects what is "unrequested." That's because the link actually opens a blank page (javascript only) in a (hidden?) frame that opens the window. As far as Mozilla is concerned, the user did not request the blank page to open the window.
wfm with win2k build 20020714.. Do you see errors in the JS Console ?
AFAICT I have the "open unrequested window" option turned on (at least that is what I tried to do when setting up my security policies). But the JS console says: Error: w has no properties Source File: http://aleph.unibas.ch/ALEPH/2FUHCY111KABV6DTJSVFU3352GVTF1EH6434DIDN88MET13661-02780/library/B501 Line: 12
Can you please try a new profile ? run "mozilla -profilemanager" and create an additional test profile
Did a complete new installation of my system and ALEPH seems to work now. Please someone mark it WFM.
marking WFM (you have permissions to resolve your own bugs as well)
