Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/76.0.3809.100 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click on the LastPass extension icon
  2. Put in username and password and click on login
I have tried another way to log in, which is right-click on the extension, left-click on LastPass, put in usernames and passwords and submit, LastPass is stuck in a loop.
  3. Log in to the same LastPass extension in Google Chrome, it works like a charm.

Actual results:

Nothing happens, the extension stays black or is stuck in a loop if I try to login via the LastPass page.

Expected results:

I should be logged in to LastPass and the extension should become red.

Please note that I cannot log in to LastPass since they ask for permissions to access tabs data from within the LastPass extension, as opposed to the Firefox popup which typically shows up when installing a new extension. And, since my browser doesn't remember history, it is possible that when I click on accept LastPass permissions, the extension doesn't remember my choice and prevents me from logging in. This is why I have tried changing my Privacy Settings to "Remember history", I could log in to LastPass.

Component: Untriaged → Extension Compatibility

I have tried logging in to LastPass via the website lastpass.com, not via the extension, and there it worked, even though the extension still stays black. I forgot to mention that normally when I put my username and password, I should receive a prompt from LastPass Authenticator on my phone, which didn't happen with the extension, but did happen when logging in via the website.

Even though I have managed to log in via the website, I can't launch any website from within my Vault.

This sounds like a bug in LastPass, so please contact them directly about this.
