[Steps to reproduce]:

[Preconditions]:

• Make sure the Show suggestion option is checked

1. Enabled the Search Bar ( about:preferences#search - check the Add search bar in toolbar)
2. Enter a search term inside the Search Bar.
3. Right click on the -> button inside the Search Bar
4. Select Remove from Toolbar option
5. Repeat step 1 and 2

[Expected result]:

• Search suggestions are shown while typing the search term's characters.

[Actual result]:

• Search suggestions are not shown while typing the search term's characters.

[Regression range]:

• Issue introduced somewhere between Fx 69 (2019-06-01) and Fx 69 (2019-07-01). I will come back with a more accurate conclusion asap.

[Additional Notes]:

• The issue is fixed after browser restart.
• The following error is triggered inside the browser console once the Search Bar is re-enabled:
  • TypeError: this.input.controller is undefined autocomplete-popup.js:588:9
    setListeners chrome://global/content/elements/autocomplete-popup.js:588

I would guess that XUL popups function differently on Linux.

This WFM on Firefox 83 on Ubuntu.
