So no dialogue asking you to submit a crash report?

Also which Nightly build exactly are you using (the build ID on about:support), and does this happen with any videos (e.g. including on Youtube), or only on specific sites?

With yesterday's Nightly (20190817220035), at least Youtube is working fine for me.

No, nothing shows after the crash.

Hi, I did not reproduce the issue with Firefox Nightly 68.1a1 with the mentioned build (20190817220035) from Comment 4 with Sony Xperia Z5 (Android 7.0) with the steps from the description. I have tried with youtube and rottentomatoes.

But by following the steps from ticket: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1574551#c0 I got the actual result that you had: Firefox closes when rotating the device from portrait in landscape.

Nyan, can you please confirm that this is your issue?

Asking QA to validate this bug on our latest build of 68.1?

Hi, I have tested and not reproduce the issue on Firefox Nightly 68.2a1 (2019-09-03), Firefox Beta 68.2b1, Firefox RC 68.1 from playstore with the steps from the mentioned link in comment 5 with:

  • Google Pixel 3 XL (Android 9)
  • Sony Xperia Z5 (Android 7.0)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (Android 8.1.0)
Flags: needinfo?(diana.rus)

I retested the issue on Release 68.2.0 and Beta 68.3b1 on a OnePlus 6T (Android 9) and was unable to reproduce the issue. Due to the fact that the issue no longer occurs and the reporter hasn't responded in a long time I will mark this issue as WORKFORSME.
