doesn't happen to me.
maybe it has to do with the form being resetted onload?
This is absolutely correct, the page request images from a password-protected
location (http://www.dan.co.uk), and each time an image is requested from such
location, the password request dialog is displayed (given that we enter an
incorrect password or press Cancel).

Although I agree with the description in Comment #3, I disagree with the bug
being marked INVALID. This can be true when you open the URL in a new tab in
the background - since the password box is modal, it can be slightly more
difficult to dismiss all these dialogues, switch to the offending tab in
question, and stop the page loading. (The URL in question appeared in a regular
search under Google, where the password protected site was stumbled upon by
accident.)
While this isn't a true bug as such, it is an issue that should be examined.
If it is not worth the effort of putting in some system that prevents the
repeated dialogues, then perhaps it should be set to WONTFIX instead.
