Details

Downloaded Mozilla 1.1a today.

restarted several times...
mozilla lost all its settings twice, all except cookies, links and theme

I don't know how to reproduce this bug.
All the files are still there, even the mail folders.
It seems that the pref.js file was resetted.

when trying to create a new profile with the same name of the "lost" profile it
says that this profile is in use, but there is no other mozilla task running in
background...
Possible bug in the locking mechanism?
>when trying to create a new profile with the same name of the "lost" profile it

this also occurs on version 1.0.
I'm not sure, but maybe this just means that you cannot rename the profile
that's currenty in use (even if there's no mozilla opened except profile
manager, whatever "in use" means then)
Reporter:
Have you tried rebooting ?
if yes: Do you see a file "parent.lock" in your profile ?
I haven't tried rebooting, maybe I should have to...
I remember seeing this file, but didn't take a look into it.
Also I cannot remember if mozilla was running when I saw this file.
I have had the same problem with Mozila 'forgeting' all of my settings. It also
manages to lose all my mail (probably as a result of forgetting that I have an
acount set up). this has happened twice in the past two days. When I go into my
mail I am asked if I want to sest up an acount... The files are still there
[C:\WINDOWS\Application
Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\19l304ht.slt\Mail\192.168.0.4] Then it will create
a new filder 192.168.0-1.4 I thought it may just be my machine but it seems
that my sister is also having the same problem.
I am not sure if I am supposed to leave the fields blank when submiting this..
