In the file bookmark dialoge it would be usefull to allow the user to select to file to disk as a file of the URL or lnk format used by IE in it favourites so that it can be double clicked on by a user from a file browser. Example of use: When I do reaserch I put documents in a directory, but to save a related bookmark I have to put a link in a file or something where a bookamrk file for that site would be far better.

I think this may already be possible but currently broken. Try dragging the URL icon in the address bar to a folder or to the desktop(as described in bug 103466). This should create a .url file. According to bug 103468 however, Mozilla inserts a trailing null which prevents IE from understanding these files. Could you verify that this is still the case.
