don't know if this is a known issue --found this while testing bug 143543 on Mac OS 8.6 using 2002.07.16.08 trunk comm bits. (this was done on a lab machine.) 1. added a couple of bookmarks. 2. opened the bookmarks manager. 3. selected tools > export... 4. in the resulting file picker, i changed the name a bit (from "bookmarks.html" to "bookmarks-export.html"). the target location was just the desktop. 5. clicked Save. 6. looked for the file on the desktop. results: couldn't find the bookmarks file anywhere, even used Sherlock.
