User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0

Steps to reproduce:

I have all sent mail put into my inbox (so Sent is always empty).
For items that are replied to and the From is automatically set to the appropriate identity (that is not the main identity) -
the Settings/Copies & Folders/when sending messages .. settings no longer seem to be working.

settings:
Settings/Copies & Folders/when sending messages .. /place copy in: other: inbox on <mail account> and "Place replies in the folder of the message " is set.

action: reply to an email that causes the from to be set to an alternative identity.
(main ident: eddie@pounce.org.uk;
alternative ident: eddie-bugzilla@pounce.org.uk)

Actual results:

replied to message goes into "sent" folder when sent.
(new messages and messages to the main identity seem to be OK - go into inbox)
(if the identity is manually set things seem OK)

Also - when the sending window is closed before sending (windows, x in top right corner) there is no question as to whether the draft should be saved - the window just closes.

Expected results:

message should go into inbox

Also - when the sending window is closed before sending (windows, x in top right corner) there should be a question as to whether the draft should be saved.

[I think I have this narrowed down - apologies if I have missed something.
I am fairly sure this was working in the past.]

The "Place replies in the folder of the message" needs to be set for all identities. Is this the case?

Ben, can you take over here.

Hi
I had no idea it was possible to set all those options for sub-identities differently.
All of the sub-identities bar the one I had a problem with are set the same as the main identity for the account (at least as far as the "when sending messages .." are concerned) so I assume the problem sub-identity was made before I had finished setting up the account.

So - not a bug - user error. Sorry.

I have quite a few sub-identities that would need changing if I wanted to change something for the account and there are so many options to check:
Would it be possible to have a "same as account / main identity" option at the top as the default of each identity to simplify things?
Can this be modified to a request or is a new bug needed?
Thanks
Eddie

Yes, you'd have to file an enhancement request for that.
