Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0
Steps to reproduce:
Test Steps:
0. vanilla profile
- Ctrl-Shift-Del
- Select some data to clear (doesn't matter what or for what time period, AFAICT)
- click
Clear Now
Control
privacy.cpd.openWindows= false (default)- results: no second window is opened
Issue
privacy.cpd.openWindows= true (user modified)- a second window is opened
Notes
- tested in Linux (mint) using FF68 and Windows using FF70, but this issue goes back a long way: not a regression
- similar to Bug #1334945: see comment https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1334945#c5 and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1334945#c6 - which may provide clues (e.g. bug 1554167 (probably) fixed the secondary window on startup)
