Build ID: Latest trunk, all OSs. Summary: Can/should we skip adding a bogus newsgroup to a server using autosubscribe? Steps to Reproduce: 1. Firstly, if you enter a non-existant news://badurl url, you get 'Would you like to subscribe to foo'? This behavior comes from the implementation of bug 40033. 2. Secondly, 'The newsgroup foo does not appear to exist on the host news.mcom.com. Would you like to unsubscribe from it?' Bug 39584 is for this. Could we logically extend the code in bug 40033 to not subscribe to an invalid newsgroup, or is that too dangerous? Obviously, then we wouldn't receive the prompt in bug 39584, because we wouldn't have anything bogus...
