Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0

Steps to reproduce:

Right click on my RSS feeds account inside Thunderbird, click Subscribe.

Actual results:

Subscribe dialog opened, then I pressed Ctrl + V to paste the feed URL in my clipboard.
Nothing happened.

Expected results:

When the dialog opens, the keyboard cursor should automatically be placed in the feed URL text field.

Sunrise,

What version of Thunderbird are you using?

Component: Untriaged → General

60.8.0

Component: General → Feed Reader
Product: Thunderbird → MailNews Core

Why should existing behavior be changed, a user may want to arrow key to a feed row and manage an existing entry; this would make that harder. It's one tab click to focus url.

Why not have both at the same time. When the cursor is in the text field for URL, let pressing up/downarrow still navigate through the tree view
