For some damned reason. ozilla errored out on me and then chomped incescently
on my hard drive. Come to find out that when I got back into the application,
one folder with about 8000 messages got dumped into my inbox. What the hell is
this??????? Now I can't move those messages back. Not only that I've lost a
few critical messages that I was working from in the inbox. DO NOT CHANGE THIS
BUG WITHOUT MY EXPRESS PERMISSION. You did that with my menues problem and now
I'm wondering as to the status of my bug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

changing component and assignee. When filing a bug, you need to tell us what
build# of the product you're using, in case the bug has been fixed in a newer
build. What do you mean, you can't move the messages back? What happens when you
try?

First, How do I find the build number? Second when I try to move the messages
back, I highlight them, then move it either by filing or drag and drop. The
result is the same. Nothing happens.

the build id is listed on the title of every browser window you open {Build ID:
NNNNNNNN}. Help | About Mozilla will also tell you this info. Are you saying
that all of the 8000 messages got copied into your inbox, or the folder got
copied under your inbox (i.e., as a sub-folder of your inbox?). I assume you're
using POP3 and not IMAP, i.e., this is your local Inbox. Can you delete messages
from your INbox? Can you read messages in your inbox?

What I got from the help page was this: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT
5.1; en-US; rv:1.0.0) Gecko/20020530
Also I can read and delete messages from the inbox, but yes, the contents of the
requested updates folder got copied into the inbox and not as a subfolder.

Have you ever been able to reproduce the problem? Are you using POP3 or what?
Could it just be that the messages have been in your inbox before?
