I recently switched from some old version of Linux Mint to Ubuntu 19.04. I've noticed that sometimes context menus and tooltips are incorrectly positioned. I haven't noticed any particular circumstances when they'll be wrong.
For context menus, my mouse moves seem to correspond to where the context menu should have been. So as I mouse over the part of the screen where it context menu should be, I see the menu items in the context menu somewhere else on the screen getting highlighted.
<heycam> stransky: whatever is the default, so I think not mate. can't remember the name. system title bar is turned off, and I have the "Dash to panel" extension installed

Here's a video I took with my phone of the problem with the context menu: https://mcc.id.au/temp/VID_20190905_143900.mp4

Could be a dupe of bug 1022241

Looks like I commented in that bug 4 years ago.
This bug feels a bit different. At least, I don't seem to have this problem with the AwesomeBar dropdown. Only noticed it with tooltips and context menus so far.
This happens for me multiple times a day, so if there's anything I can do to capture any useful information for debugging (e.g. running a local build with some printfs in it), I can do that.
