User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0

Steps to reproduce:

on windows, Firefox 69.0 (64-bit)

install any add-ons which allow the user input test on the pop-up window;
click the add-on icon, pop-up window show up;
click one of input box in the window, and change the input method to Chinese or Japanese (for my testing);
type any words, you can see the issue.

Actual results:

a different input window will show up to collect what user typed

Expected results:

the input show display near the cursor

Hi @Danny, first of all put all the suitable info in order to test the issue. what is the name of the extension, or a link etc. Also, I've noticed that it is marked as an enhancement.

Hi @Liviu, thanks for your reply, I'd like to provide the reproduce as below:
step 1, install 'Bitwarden - Free Password Manager' on Firefox
step 2, click the add-on icon, and the add-on popup shows up
step 3, click the setting button
step 4, click the any of the input box
step 5, change the input method to Chinese/Japanese, I am using the window default input
step 6, you will see the issue when you typing

these are the add-ons that I can find which has popup window and can let user input something in the popup window. I am currently developing a Firefox add-on, it also get the same issue.

by the way, because this is my first time submit a bug, and the developer version doesn't have this issue, so I marked this as an enhancement.

Note that on latest FF versions: nightly 71.0a1, beta 70.0b4 the issue won't occur. On FF release version 69.0 and previous, the issue is reproducible.

Liviu, I don't think that bug caused this. This is an IME (keyboard entry) issue, that bug is Media (mic, speaker, video).

I'm not clear on the issue. Is the problem just the positioning of the IME entry? Or something else? What does it look like in non-popup entries?
