RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 697031

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/76.0.3809.132 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

I used the addon "show address only" (https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/show-address-only/).

Actual results:

It apparently is not maintained any longer.

Expected results:

This feature should be integrated in the main app. Which should be extremely easy.

see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1233191

I'm sure the add-on can be fixed by its author.

Dear Jorg,

thanks for your quick reply.

Why is this basic security feature not integrated in the main application? As the link shows users have been asking for it for many years.

I am not a programmer, but I am sure these two columns could be added to the column selection very easily. Who can this feature request be elevated to?

Thanks and best regards

Florian

Our technical manager and product planner, Magnus.

Magnus, I duped this to bug 697031. Should we take some action on this one?

Flags: needinfo?(mkmelin+mozilla)

Probably would make more sense as a global preference for the thread pane.

Hi Magnus,

Again, "show address only" has not been updated and is not working for several months since TB 77. Obviously, the developer does not keep up with the progress of thunderbird.

Me and everyone I installed this add-on for painfully miss it.

So I would like to repeat my strong wish that this tiny but extremely useful security feature be integrated into thunderbird.

Thanks, Florian
