This happens on all versions of Mozilla. I tried to display a local HTML file by typing the relative path like mozilla ./index.html Mozilla generates an on-screen error, that it can't find "." However if I type the absolute path then mozilla displays the file. Looks like mozilla is unable to interpret the relative path.

to what should this be relative..? the profile-folder? the install-folder? home? the folder from where you started mozilla (if done from commandline)?

This should be relative from where I start mozilla.

The problem is that a relative path cannot be usefully differentiated from a URL with the scheme left off (while an absolute path can). This has all been discussed before; this is a duplicate, but I cannot find the original.
