User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0

Steps to reproduce:

  • Subscribe same site notifications in two browsers
  • Wait for notification
  • Or generate notification

Linux - Lubuntu 19.04 - LXQt

Actual results:

  • Two browsers show notification
  • But the chrome show with image and the Firefox not.

Expected results:

  • Firefox site notification with images like Google Chrome.
    And with sound if possible.

Hi wellington

Hi Wellington

Can you provide the link of the site you are using for notifications so we can try to replicate it?

I tried the notifications using a common site like Gmail and enabling notifications when the site launches for the first time.

Testing with Firefox Latest nightly release 71.0a1 on the following Os:
Linux Ubuntu 18.04 64bit
Windows 10 64bit

When i allow notifications, and a new email is received, i see the image on the right hand corner on windows, and on ubuntu i also see the notification with the gmail image on the top center part of the screen

Regards
Pablo

We support icon but not `image… I'm not sure what the difference is TBH.

Hi,

I suggest the image in the notification based at the Chrome feature(With rich images and actions):
https://www.moengage.com/blog/chrome-push-notifications-just-got-richer-images-action-buttons/
https://www.notifyvisitors.com/blog/chrome-rich-push-notification/

I suggest maybe change the title to something like "Add support for rich notifications"

I will attach my environment...

Thanks!

Hi,

add image support make the notification more "rich" I think.

Thanks!

There is many other resources to maybe add support:
https://tests.peter.sh/notification-generator/

Ah, yes, I've seen screenshots of ads in these popups… not exactly something I think users are asking for.
