User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0

Steps to reproduce:

To reproduce, watch a Netflix show with subtitles enabled.

I tested with two laptops, both have 1920x1080 resolution, but the problem only shows on the smaller 12.5" laptop, the larger 14.1" does not show the issue. Both laptops run up-to-date Archlinux.

Actual results:

On my 1920x1080 laptop with 12.5" screen (Lenovo x270), the subtitle font is so large that the subtitles don't fit on the screen anymore. I will attach a screen shot to illustrate. The font size varies with the width of the subtitles text: short subtitles (e.g. "Let's go") have a huuuuge font size, longer subtitles are more reasonable.

On my 1920x1080 laptop with 14.1" screen (System76 Galago), the subtitles look normal.

Expected results:

The subtitles on the Lenovo 12.5" laptop should be normal sized and fully visible on the screen.

Hi

I tried to replicate on ubuntu 18.04 64bit with the following firefox versions:
FF Release 69.0.1
FF nightly 71.0a1
FF beta 70.0b7
I was not able to reproduce the problem, my machine is 1080p but sadly it doesn´t have a 12.5" screen.

Can you please download Firefox Nightly from here: https://nightly.mozilla.org/ and retest the problem.

Thank you for this. Turns out it was the "NoSquint Plus" extension, on both current stable and nightly. Reeeally don't need to squint with that... I'll take it up with the developer of that extension.

Thanks for reporting back. Glad you tracked the issue down to NoSquint Plus. I'll resolve this bug as invalid given the root cause is elsewhere.
