I have a Win2k at home, shared by me and my wife. We both have our own logins. I have several Mozilla profiles, my wife has one. When I installed NS7.0b1 I decided to test QuickLaunch. It seemed to work both for me with multiple profiles and for my wife with the single profile. Then I decided to disable it: unchecked QL pref, and restarted the system. To my amazement QL was still active. I went to prefs, but the box was not checked. I rechecked it, rebooted again with my wife's account, disabled pref, rebooted with my wife's account and QL was still on. Rebooted again to my own account, disabled QL, rebooted, and now finally QL was disabled. So it seems that on a system with several OS logins each user has to disable QL pref before it actually becomes disabled for anyone.
