Hi @Franck, I've checked the issue In several FF versions: release 69.0 / 69.0.2, beta 70.0b13, nightly 71.0a1 => and here are the results:
- assuming that the "main password" is the same with "master password" there is couple of scenarios:
- on both release versions the master passwords works accordingly. Using master passwords accessing the option "Logins and Passwords" - see screenshot added.
Using Lockwise (only extension works because the functionality encountered in beta nightly isn't uplifted yet ) => will not trigger the master
password pop-up. - On beta, nightly master password pop-up is triggered accordingly at authentication and using lockwise, as well.
So, in your end the issue is different than my side. Cannot reproduce.
Please try your scenario using Firefox Nightly from here: https://nightly.mozilla.org/ and retest the problem.
Further I will add a component, if isn't the right one please fell free to change it.
Regards,
Liviu

Are you sure the password you are entering is correct? The behavior you're describing for the Master Password matches the behavior that is shown when the user types in the wrong password for Master Password.

This could also be a duplicate prompt… If the Lockwise extension is used, can you please uninstall it and see if the problem still happens. The extension is not supposed to work with Master Password.

Are you using Firefox Sync? I think this may be a dupe of bug 1587927?

Clear a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user.
Inactive users most likely will not respond; if the missing information is essential and cannot be collected another way, the bug maybe should be closed as INCOMPLETE
.
