This is a request for a program that will search through a directory and it's subdirectories looking for Netscape 4.X profiles. If one is found it will create a new folder with the new Mozilla Profile Migrated from the old 4.X profile in the same directory as the old profile. The interface could be simple. It would need a "search for Profiles in this directory", A checkmark to look in subdirectories, and "Name of Migrated Profile directory". afterwards, it will tell the user how many profiles were migrated, and how many failed. For example, You have a directory on your server called C:\Users where all of your Network users have their home directories. in their home directories is a Netscape Directory where their Netscape Profile is located. With this program, you would enter C:\users in the "search for Profiles in this directory" box, checkmark the search subdirectories, and would type Mozilla in the "Name of Migrated Profile directory" box and press ok. Once the program is finished, If their home directory had a netscape directory with a netscape profile in it, there would be another new directory called Mozilla with a mozilla profile in it. The usefullness of this program would be primarialy for large networks that have many multiple users on their systems. Migrating like this all at once would help admins with hundreds or even thousands of netscape profiles to easily migrate to the new mozilla profiles without having to migrate profiles one by one for each user on the network.
