Looking at 69.0.1 linux adotion rate, it is unusually low. See: https://metrics.mozilla.com/public/sguha/mc2/release.html

Will, as you suggested, this requires additional investigation.

Did up a quick redash query to chart how many unique clients we saw in various versions since the beginning of the month:

https://sql.telemetry.mozilla.org/queries/64974

tl;dr I'm not seeing anything too remarkable at least with this view of the data. The number of clients on this version seems to be increasing steadily, as one would expect.

My suggestion would be to see how things develop over the next couple of days. It might just be that the weekend is depressing the number of active usage hours (which I think is what the dashboard is showing), which is skewing the uptake numbers.

CC'ing Saptarshi + Chris, in case they have anything they want to add.

NI to remind myself to check back on this in a couple days.

crash reports submitted to socorro aren't showing anything unusual either - we get more reports from 69.0.1 than 69.0 from linux at the moment.

...however looking at submitted crashes in the past 24h from firefox linux installations with a non-mozilla build id, the picture looks very different:
we had 891 crash reports (95%) from 69.0 vs. 46 crash reports from 69.0.1 (5%).

so this would indicate that the data feeding the mission control v2 dashboard isn't just coming from mozilla built versions of firefox but also taking distro specific builds into account.

that low adoption is mostly attributable to non-mozilla builds is also clear when reversing wlach's query to only look at versions with buildids other than the known ones built by mozilla.

Looks like Ubuntu hasn't yet released version 69.0.1:

I think we've explained this, I believe Saptarshi and Chris are going to address this in a subsequent version of the dashboard.
