partial hang after startup on dual G4

1)After startup the Mozilla menus appear and continue to function (ie respond
to mouse clicks).
2)Preferences dialog and "open url" dialog can be brough up.
3)No browser window ever appears.
3)When you try to open a new browser window (tried several different ways
including "open url" dialog), no windows appear.
4)Windows thus created are listed in the "Windows" menu.
5)Clicking a window in the "Windows" menu does not make it visible.
6)Thread deadlock?
7)Mac OS 10.2 (Jaguar) builds 6c98 and 6c85.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1)After startup the Mozilla menus appear and continue to function (ie respond
to mouse clicks).
2)Preferences dialog and "open url" dialog can be brough up.
3)No browser window ever appears.

Actual Results: No window ever appeared.
Expected Results: A browser window to appear.

efwahl, can you reproduce this problem using a new Mozilla user profile?
Reporter's using 1.0. efwahl, can you also reproduce this using a current
nightly build?
try dragging an html doc onto the mozilla app icon in the mozilla folder (while
it's running)
