User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:69.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/69.0
Steps to reproduce:
Send an E-Mail to an adress which contains a comment after the local-part eg. test(comment)@example.org
Actual results:
The local-part gets modifited into a quoted-string thus the E-Mail is sent to:
"test(comment)"@example.org which is a completly different adress.
Expected results:
The E-Mail should get to the adress test@example.org
(cf. Wikipedia: "comments are allowed with parentheses at either end of the local-part" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address#Local-part )
Adresses containing both a comment and a quoted-string are not even sent at all eg. "quoted string"(comment)@example.org

Looks like our JS Mime parser still doesn't handle comments all that well. It first, it didn't handle comments at all, but they were added in bug 1069790. You can check out test cases here: https://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/rev/adb05d240273#l2.2
