Steps to reproduce:

when waking from sleep, FPN loses login; turned FPN off and back on, get Sign In button

Actual results:

when hit Sign In button, goes to https://accounts.firefox.com/authorization?access_type=offline&action=email&client_id=a8c528140153d1c6&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fcb7cbf5bedba243279adcd23bc6b88de7a304388.extensions.allizom.org%2F&scope=profile https%3A%2F%2Fidentity.mozilla.com%2Fapps%2Fsecure-proxy&state=Di4_lUfHcUcH_ilf&response_type=code&code_challenge_method=S256&code_challenge=2Qs5f-0QXHwlhMDKdaz51TC8vSolRCZZh-wSUxT-Oic and either does nothing, or gets 500 Error message screen

Expected results:

Sign In screen should have appeared and allowed me to sign in

Hi,

I have tested your issue on latest FF release 69.0.1 and latest Nightly build 71.0a1 (2019-09-30) and could not reproduce it using Mac OS X 10.13

If the issue is still reproducible on your end, can you please retest this using latest FF release and latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8), maybe even safe mode (https://goo.gl/AR5o9d), just with private network add-on installed, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause.
