Steps to reproduce:
I installed image/video blocker to try to avoid some phobia triggers, and to toggle the settings when pages are likely to include these triggers, or as a quick jab when they do contain those triggers.
I use Reader View to try to read pages more easily.
Actual results:
When using Reader View, the images get through. So if the article contains a lot of phobia-triggering or possibly ptsd-triggering images, then the blocking fails.
Expected results:
Reader View should allow a quick move to block images. Since it doesn't work with webextensions, maybe Firefox needs its own standard toggle button.

Hi MarjaE,
Thanks for submitting this bug to us, sad to hear that you are having this inconvenience.
Would you be so kind to send me a link that has this kind of phobia-triggering or possibly ptsd-triggering images please? With this info I can test this issue in a proper way.
Thanks!
Sebastian

Hi MarjaE,
Thanks for the link, it was very helpful!
I was able to reproduce it using Firefox Nightly 71.0a1 (64-bit - 2019/10/01) and Firefox 69.0.1 (64-bit) on macOS Mojave 10.14.1
What I did was installed the View Reader and an Image Video Block, activated the last one (asking it to block images and media), tried your link and there were no pictures. Activated the "view reader" add on and the images were back.
I'm going to add a Product and a Component so one of our devs can take a look at it.
Thanks!
Sebastian

This issues is a duplicate of Bug 1455060 (Reader View requests don't trigger webRequest listeners).
