Steps to reproduce:

  1. visit www.wikipedia.com
  2. close this tab
  3. type www.wikip in the adress list and wait for autocomplite (don't work)

Actual results:

for me and on other computer the autocomlite dont work with chronik/history sites

Expected results:

  1. visit www.wikipedia.com
  2. close this tab
  3. type www.wikip in the adress list and wait for autocomplite

Hi @seemamail, tested the issue and here are the results:

  • the domain that you've invoked in the description isn't valid (the one accepted is www.wikipedia.org)
  • tying www.wikipedia.com will make redirect to wikipedia.org that wasn't yet populated in the history.
Due this facts, I will close this issue as invalid.

With www.wikipedia.com it doesn't work either.
The wiki site was only a example it works with "no page" except my bookmarks.

Hi @seemamail, analize please what you said in the title & what in the description. Add please accurate info. See the comment 1.

https://support.mozilla.org/de/kb/autovervollstaendigung-adressleiste#w_die-autovervollstacndigung-von-internetadressen-urls-in-der-adressleiste-nutzen

this will dont work (there it was also done with wikipedia.org)
when i visit a page (no matter which), the autocomplete does not work after that with this page

according to the documentation it should work once the website has been called up

an other example

open "www.heise.de"
close this tab
open a new tab and type "hei" or "www.hei" and see the auto-completion will not work
