The "General" config.ini section needs to be implemented per the 5.0 Installer Spec: http://grok/install/windows/ngSetup/install_spec_50.html (Mac exceptions to section keys will need to be documented.)
Target Milestone: M11

This is not dogfood and probably not evena beta stopper. Moving to M12.

Boy this bug is cryptic. Asa, please cause this bug to be made useful by collecting a public spec page, or move it to bugscape so we can get it off the bugzilla queries. Thanks. fwiw: Last I checked 'ini' was a microsoft thing. sgehani feel free to future this bug. But if you do i'd appreciate an explanation of what this bug means, so that someone external could work on it.
sounds like netscape installer and not mozilla installer. If this is the case this bug should be moved to Bugscape. sending this back to gbush

This affects both Netscape and Mozilla installers. Please leave it here. Thanks.
Already partially implemented.
Priority: P3 → P4
Could the install_spec_50.html file be made available to outside contributors? This bug is marked help wanted, but nobody can help if they cannot read the specification!
The parts of this feature that were relevant to the Mac installer have been implemented, i.e. the destination folder (off of the root of the boot volume) and the global URL used in the event that there is no site selector information.
