User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/13.0.1 Safari/605.1.15
Steps to reproduce:
I've updated Firefox trough its official tool in Settings -> Check for updates... .
Actual results:
After restart Firefox doesn't start anymore. The icon appears on the dock for a second, then it disappears and nothing happen.
At the moment, I figured out that if I delete the folder "Firefox" in
~/Library/Caches/Mozilla/updates/Application/
the final result is that Firefox actually launch but it roll itself back to the previous version installed, and if I start again the process, it is basically just an eternal loop.
Expected results:
Firefox updates itself at the new version available.

After deleting the directory ~/Library/Caches/Mozilla/updates/Application/ try to update. There should be an active-update.xml file and possibly updates.xml, update.log, last-update.log, backup-update.log, and update.status files. Please attach these files to this bug (other files won't be of any help). Thanks!
